Scooter owners outraged by ‘ghetto’ bathtub

The owners of Scooters of America, a Scooter rental chain in the United States, are outraged that their company’s tubs are being advertised with images of a pool and a pool lounge in their advertisements.
The owner of the company, Scott W. Smith, has been accused of being a ‘gutless racist’ and a ‘white supremacist’ by his customers.
He has also been accused by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of promoting anti-Muslim hate speech, which could be illegal under the US law against ‘propaganda of hatred’.
Scooters of North America said it had been notified of a complaint against Smith on Saturday by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).
Smith, who is originally from Texas, has apologised for the advert, which he posted on the company’s website on Friday.
“It’s the first time I’ve ever had a complaint about an advert I posted,” Smith told reporters at the Scooters’ headquarters in San Francisco.
Smith’s company, which was founded in 1989 and is now owned by his son, said the advert featured the names of the owners and the name of the pool.
It said it was made by a different company and had been removed from the Scooter’s website by the company.
According to the ACLU, the organisation has received multiple complaints against Smith since he launched the company and his son took over in 2012.
After Smith launched the advert on Friday, he posted the name and phone number of the people who had complained, and then posted a second advert on Saturday.
Scooter of North American told The Sunday Telegraph it was aware of the ACLU’s complaints, and that it had removed the advert.
This was not the first advertisement Smith has faced criticism over.
In 2013, Smith was ordered by the California court to remove an advert from his website for his company, and was fined $300.
He said he was still working on a new ad for the company that had not yet been posted.
It is not the only Scooter company to face controversy.
An ad posted on Twitter in May 2018 by the Scooters’ US parent company, Scooter Express, showed a woman in a bikini and a scooter.
The scooter’s licence plate read “BASIC” and the woman’s name was displayed on the side of the vehicle.
The Scootys were criticised for their advert.
Scooty Express issued a statement saying it had “no idea who she is”.
Smith has not responded to a request for comment.
