British women who have been sexually abused by men in their 40s say they fear their lives will be ruined by the men’s abuse

A wave of sexual abuse by British men has seen thousands of women and girls leave their lives to leave the country to escape domestic abuse, rape and death threats.
The abuse has been described as “disgusting” by victims.
They fear they will be left with no future in Britain.
It has led to thousands of men fleeing to Europe to escape being found guilty of raping or abusing women, the Telegraph has learned.
The new government will be asked to consider ways to deal with the wave of crimes committed against women and children in the UK, but some say the government is too timid and too slow to act.
Women and girls, who are often forced to live with abusive men and in unsafe conditions, fear they may not be able to leave Britain and find work and freedom, or will be sent back to their abusers, who often live in the same area of the country as them.
The number of victims has increased from one in 10 women in 2013 to one in six in 2017, according to a recent report from the Home Office.
But it was only after the publication of a study last year that the Home Secretary, Amber Rudd, said she wanted to put a stop to the problem.
A new report published by the Office of National Statistics says there were 10,938 women and girl victims of sexual violence in England and Wales in the year to June 2017.
In the first quarter of this year, there were 13,869.
The government will have to take up the issue and “bring the perpetrators to justice”, says Dr Laura Smith, of the Sexual Assault Response Unit at the charity Rape Crisis.
There is an urgent need to tackle this problem, she said.
“The men are often very violent, they have very strong control over the women. “
“They can control the girls, they can control their children, they are controlling their sexuality.” “
The figures from the Office for National Statistics do not include the number of women who are forced into prostitution, or are abused by a partner. “

“When I was a child, my mum used to rape me and then I would be taken away to another home where I would not be believed,” said one of the women, who wished to remain anonymous.
“It was always like that.
I was raped in the back of a taxi.” “
I think I got my head kicked in.

One of the biggest problems facing women and young people is the fact that they are not able to report crimes to the police, because they fear it could be used against them.
In some cases, police are reluctant to take action because they have a reputation for not taking the case seriously.
Dr Smith said there was a real lack of support for victims of abuse, and that a number of local authorities have closed their investigations into sexual abuse.
“One of the problems with this is that the police are the people who are supposed to take these cases seriously and bring the perpetrators of sexual assault to justice,” she said, adding that “we know that a lot more of this kind of thing goes on”.
Some women who do report abuse to the authorities are also reluctant to come forward because they are fearful of being branded a liar or a troublemaker.
“This is not something that a person who is abused by someone else should feel comfortable with,” said Dr Smith.
“In some cases you have to come to terms with that and you have a choice of telling the police or not.”
There is also a huge culture of silence around the issue in the criminal justice system.
There are no prosecutions, no convictions.
And the women who make the report to the cops say that they just want the perpetrators off the streets.
“And my brother told me I had a mental disorder and I was stupid. “
He is a man, he was a violent man, and he raped me,” she told the paper.

I told him I was being raped and that I did not understand why he would do that to me.”
One young woman, also from the Midlands, said: “[The police] will not believe you.
I’m scared of them.”
She said that she had been raped by her boyfriend and that she feared her family would think she was “crazy” and accuse her of lying.
One woman said she was raped by a man who “liked to make me do things”.
Another, a mother of five, said her boyfriend raped her and then she was taken to his home.
She described her experience as “horrific”.
“My husband was the abuser,” she wrote in her complaint to the Home Affairs Select Committee.
